Background

Blogging is something I have wanted to do for a while, but reserved in the back of my mind for special occasions. I kept a blog during my study abroad time in Spain, but haven’t posted since. Something about starting this new blog feels like a fresh, blank slate where I can share what I am working on as a writer. It will be sporadic, and I am trying to learn how to be okay with that.

Writing is something I have always loved, but have rarely prioritized. I hope this blog motivates me to keep up with it and be a part of a community of writers. I have nothing in particular that I want to focus on, which deterred me for a while from keeping a blog. I think it’s okay not to have a niche developed yet, but to enjoy writing about my myriad of interests.

Here’s my current situation: I have lived in Charleston, SC for a little over a year now and am in my second year of teaching English Language Arts as well as Spanish. My love of learning doesn’t start and end with those subjects. I can appreciate just about anything, hence my difficulty in choosing a blog topic.

I hope this blog documents a bit about my journey in early adulthood and how God is leading me, lighting my path just enough for each step each day.
